The National Rural Health Alliance welcomes the opportunity to review the Review of General Practice Incentives Consultation Briefing and acknowledges the work of the Expert Advisory Panel to oversee the review and make recommendations on implementing the recommendations and findings of the Primary Health Care 10 Year Plan 2022-32 and the Strengthening Medicare Taskforce. The consultation briefing rightly notes that structural reform is needed in general practices and other primary health care services to build financial sustainability and systems capability to meet community health.
