Submission
In this response to the Draft Report, the Alliance provides some general comments about the
proposed reform areas, as well as further suggestions intended to strengthen the recommendations,
to improve health and wellbeing outcomes and access to mental health care for people living in rural
regional and remote Australia.
There are two key points that the Alliance would like to draw the Productivity Commission’s
attention to:
- the proposed rebuild model
- the need for a holistic approach to mental health wellness as well as mental health care in rural
communities.
