Submission
The Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care conducted a public consultation on potential changes to the National General Practice Accreditation (NGPA) Scheme cycle and assessment processes. The consultation proposed two options to improve the accreditation process:
Option one: Extended accreditation cycle with at least one mid-point review
Option two: Assessment conducted at short notice.
The Alliance’s response to the consultation was informed by feedback from Alliance members and details the factors that impact the accreditation cycle for rural and remote general practices.
