CCK Recommendation

Conference calls for bipartisan commitment to the Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) which provides basic dental services for children aged 2–17. This program is an absolutely vital part of essential primary care services in rural and remote communities where children have particularly poor oral health. Oral health services in rural and remote areas need to be expanded to meet the high level of need that exists there. Action should be taken to ensure that eligible parents in rural and remote areas are aware of the CDBS and encouraged to make use of it for their children.
