The Centre for Cultural Diversity in Ageing, supported by Benetas, is funded by the Australian Department of Health and Aged Care to provide training on culturally inclusive care to the aged care sector. Last year's consultations by The Centre for Cultural Diversity in Ageing (The Centre) identified a significant need for more culturally appropriate aged care training in regional Victoria.

As a result, we are offering training on culturally appropriate care to government-funded and subsidised aged care organisations in regional Victoria. The training will be delivered in the 2024-25 Financial Year. If your Victorian region would like to participate in our training, please email The Centre at [email protected] to discuss your training needs.

Diversity Mentoring Program

We have opened applications for the Diversity Mentoring Program running in the 2024-25 Financial Year. The Diversity Mentoring Program supports government-funded aged care providers looking to receive tailored advice, training, and consultation to build their capabilities in responding to the needs and preferences of culturally, linguistically, and faith diverse aged care recipients. If your organisation is delivering aged care services across either VIC, NSW, ACT, or WA, you are eligible to apply for the Diversity Mentoring Program.

For more information visit The Centre's website at www.culturaldiversity.com.au/training-development/diversity-mentoring-program or email us.

If you are interested in participating in this program, please apply by Monday 1 July 2024.

You can also enquire with the respective Partners in Culturally Appropriate Care Alliance member for training in your State/Territory: www.picacalliance.org/members/
