The George Institute for Global Health is conducting the ALIGNED study, looking at how pharmacogenomics can help to find the right antidepressant medication for people with depression.
Pharmacogenomics is a simple genetic test that can determine how a person will respond to medication. The study aims to determine if it could help tailor antidepressant medication for each individual, and thereby reduce adverse effects and increase medication tolerability, improving the likelihood of recovery from depression.
This remote study is currently recruiting participants from the community and will suit participants residing in rural and remote communities.
