COVID-19 safe exercise guidelines

Exercise & Sports Science Australia has launched newly developed COVID-19 Exercise Guidelines.

While COVID-19 is regarded as a respiratory disease, there have been cardiovascular, neurological, musculoskeletal and endocrinological changes observed as a result of COVID-19 that may impact exercise prescription and delivery.

The guidelines have been designed from the practitioner’s perspective when providing exercise advice for people who have contracted COVID-19, and the practicum environment when supervisors oversee the activities of students managing people having contracted the virus.

The new guidelines can be accessed via the ESSA website
