The Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care has released the Stillbirth Clinical Care Standard. The National Rural Health Alliance is pleased to be one of the key supporting organisations.
Launched on 4 November 2022, the clinical care standard aims to reduce unwarranted variation and improve the appropriateness of care for stillbirth prevention, and the quality of bereavement care following perinatal loss. The standard also supports the delivery of evidence-based clinical care, and promotes shared decision making between patients, carers and clinicians.
The Stillbirth Clinical Care Standard was developed by the Commission in partnership with health service organisations, clinicians and consumers, and with funding from the Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care.
