New graduate nurses – study

Have you recently completed your new graduate nurse year in a rural area? Did you recognise or care for a deteriorating patient?

The University of New England School of Health is conducting a study to explore the experiences of the new graduate registered nurse (NGRN) in caring for the deteriorating patient in a rural area, their preparedness for detecting/caring for the deteriorating patient and to understand the rural NGRN's experience and perspective of the contextual issues that may affect their experiences to care for the deteriorating patient.

They will be conducting online interviews as part of a qualitative study to explore this sometimes challenging experience in the context of rural practice. If you would be interested in being part of this study, please get in touch by emailing Elaine Towner at [email protected]
