Sleep health study

The Department of Respiratory and Sleep Medicine at John Hunter Hospital is conducting a study investigating the role sleep may play in physical and mental health and accident risk in Australian farmers – the Farming and Rural Employees Sleep Health (FRESH) study. This study aims to better understand the sleep of Australian farmers and how to best manage any sleeping concerns they may be experiencing.

The study involves an anonymous online survey that should take less than 30 minutes to complete. The researchers would like to invite farmers from a variety of locations and demographics to participate. Participants should be at least 18 years of age and work on a farm for at least eight hours a week.
