Webinar In Conversation Round Table Series The importance of 'place' and its influenceon rural and remote health and wellbeing

The Alliance has partnered with Centre for Health in All Policies Research Translation (CHiAPRT) to convene a webinar on the Importance of ‘Place’ and its influence on rural and remote health and wellbeing, on 12 October 2023 from 2.30 - 4pm (ACST).  

The Alliance Chief Executive Susi Tegen will also speak at the event.

The discussion will focus on the crucial role of ‘place’ as a cultural determinant of health and wellbeing. It will explore how the health system, including health promotion, can actively contribute to creating supportive environments and places that foster opportunities to promote health and wellbeing among individuals residing in rural and remote locations. 

The session aims to shed light on the challenges associated with living remotely, particularly in terms of accessing preventive services necessary for maintaining good health.
