The National Rural Health Alliance is seeking input from rural and remote health professionals who would like to share their story about how their work makes a difference in rural, regional or remote Australia.

The Alliance is developing a set of fact sheets containing statistics and key facts on health workforce distribution in Australia.   These are due to be published in the coming weeks and we would like to complement them with some real life experiences that highlight the unique challenges faced by the health workforce in rural and remote Australia.

In no more than 500 words, we would like you to cover the following:

  • what your typical day looks like
  • the type of service you provide
  • the unique challenges you experience
  • how you deal with these challenges
  • in your opinion, what could be done differently to improve the care you provide
  • why you #loverural

Please submit your story by email to jo@ruralhealth.org.au by 24 July 2019.

If you’d prefer not be named, your story will be published anonymously. In either case, your story will help us paint the real life picture of what it is like to work in rural, regional and remote Australia and contribute to our advocacy on getting  better access to health services in rural and remote Australia.
