The ABC’s Q&A program on 6 October 2014 focussed on mental health in rural and remote Australia.

Gordon Gregory, Executive Director of the National Rural Health Alliance, provided an analysis of the episode, More Queues than Ays, that was published in the CROAKEY health blog the next day.

The program covered a broad range of issues as part of Mental Health Week, including historical trends for mental illness in Australia, the role of prevention and early intervention and whether mental illnesses are determined by genetics or environment (or a mix of both).
