The National Rural Health Alliance Chairperson Nicole O’Reilly speaking to WIN TV, reiterated that the rural healthcare underspend of $6.55 billion could be addressed with targeted investment and innovative approaches to close gaps in delivery and access. The report was syndicated on WIN TV stations across the regions and also covered by ABC and regional media.

Referring to the Alliance’s media release on the AIHW data, WIN TV, during an exclusive interview with The Hon Emma McBride MP, Assistant Minister Rural and Regional Health, asked about the Alliance’s call for better investment for rural health. The Assistant Minister responded, emphasising the importance of ‘the right models of care’ and ‘the right kind of investment’.
