Adequacy of Existing Residential Care Arrangements Available for Young People with Severe Physical, Mental or Intellectual Disabilities in Australia

With the rollout of the National Disability Insurance Scheme, the Alliance is closely monitoring and engaged with the aged care reforms that are currently underway. In this submission it points to data indicating the lack of services for people with a disability in rural and remote areas, and argues that targeted government funding needs to be taken to ensure equity of access to disability and aged care for people in rural and remote Australia.
