This NRHA Pre-Election Charter provides Australia's political parties with the opportunity to commit during the 2013 Election Campaign to specific actions for improving the health and wellbeing of people in rural and remote areas. One in three Australians live outside the major cities. There is no justification for them having lower average life expectancy than people in the major cities.
