Burden of disease data, based on prevalence data, again shows lower rates of non-fatal burden in regional and remote areas, but with higher rates of fatal burden in in these areas compared with Major cities. It is unclear whether this fatal burden includes suicide.

However, from Figure 7 below, burden from Dementia, Anxiety and Depressive disorders tend to decrease with remoteness, while the burden from Suicide increases strongly with remoteness.
