14th National Rural Health Conference
A World of Rural Health.
Cairns Convention Centre, 26-29 April 2017
Call for abstracts close: 30 September 2016
Registrations open: 1 October 2016
The biennial National Rural Health Conference is the largest regular public event for people who want to improve the health and wellbeing of people in rural, regional and remote Australia. It is an opportunity for present and future leaders of the rural and remote health sector - especially its community members and health consumers - to exchange information, showcase successes, promote the sector's agenda and make useful connections.
It culminates in a confirmed set of recommendations - action priorities - for policy makers, researchers, health practitioners and professional bodies.
Its uniqueness rests largely in the range of participants it attracts: health professionals of all disciplines, consumers, students, researchers, academics, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, government officials, parliamentarians and the media.
